Autumn 🍃🍂🍁

When the morning breeze turns pleasant,

gently cooling your cheeks with their presence.

When they blow the hair in your eyes,

making you lift your chin like a happy pup from a car window.

When the sky is turquoise and crystal  clear,

turning sunlight into transparent gold.

You know Fall is round the corner,

waiting to mesmerize with its magical powers.

Colours to drench you in, beauty to soak you with.

Autumn, the showstopper amongst  seasons!

Colours everywhere, the mind mesmerized.
Eyes trying hard to capture all details, the memory failing to memorize. Wonderment at the glory of nature, if only one could summarize.

Beginning of the end

As I sat near the open window, in the morning, with tea in my hand, the curtains swayed gently with a cool breeze.
The remnants of an, all night rain, made the leaves outside shake off the droplets of water from them.
Clouds covered the whole sky with no sign of the Sun. The last of the September rains, receding after a final try at rejuvenating the Earth.

...and the leaves started falling. They had been changing to yellow from green. They had been turning ever so slowly, and now they fell.
First signs of Autumn approaching. Undoubtedly, Fall is always grand. It always takes the breath away with its beauty, its miracle of colours. Its magic of transformation, but the truth is, it is after all, the beginning of the end of a life cycle.

Time to let go, in anticipation of a new beginning.

Fall

Leaves, lime green and lemon yellow, waiting patiently for the temperature to drop.

This year September had been unusually warm, delaying the magic show of nature.

But soon the show begins, nature adorns its most vibrant attire.

Appearance of leaves change from sparkling sunshine yellows to bright oranges.

The royal blood red deepen to sophisticated maroons. Finally resting at rusts and browns before they kiss the Earth.

Falling gently to the ground, one leaf over another, one at a time, slowly, meticulously. Leaving the tree bare.

Rising to form heaps of leaves' mountains.

Forests transform into chaos of colours, clear blue water bodies reflecting the magic.

Enhancing the effect.

Leaves breathing their last breaths, trees shedding them, saying goodbyes, letting go!

One of its kind farewell, so amazing, so breathtaking.

The sky is getting clearer, clouds beginning to disperse with winds of change.

The wind is getting cooler, Sun beginning to shine more often over the mountain range.

Days and evenings not somber anymore, grays converting into vibrant landscapes.

Wetness drying up, no more downpours, colours popping up like lady's drapes.

Relief from heat, break from the rains. Seems like the Earth is ready to exhale.

• Autumn or fall is one of the most beautiful and vibrant seasons of the year.The time of the year when miracle unfolds right in front of our eyes, one day at a time.The tree  which hardly made its presence felt, suddenly transforms itself into a showstopper.The vibrance of reds, golds, oranges and maroons electrify the very core of the soul.Though the leaves are close to their demise, they breathe life into the forests like never before.
